A rare Scottish mid-century coffee table designed by Val Rossi for Beithcraft.
The sculptural teak frame forms a soft triangular outline, cradling the original bevelled glass top and a neatly shaped magazine shelf below. The three sweeping legs meet at a central column, giving the table a light, almost floating feel while still being rock solid in use.
Val Rossi’s work for Beithcraft perfectly captures the optimism of 1960s British design – elegant, practical and beautifully made – and this is one of the harder-to-find models, especially in such honest condition.
