G-Plan Fresco Drop-Leaf Console Table
Description
A beautifully sculpted mid-century G-Plan Fresco drop-leaf console table, designed by Victor B. Wilkins as part of the iconic Fresco range introduced in 1966.
This elegant and versatile piece showcases the distinctive design language that made the Fresco range one of G-Plan’s most successful collections. Crafted in warm teak, it features twin drawers with the signature integrated handles, flowing sculptural legs and a drop-leaf top that transforms the table from a slim console into a generous surface when required.
Perfectly proportioned for a hallway, behind a sofa or as a compact dining or writing table, it’s a wonderfully adaptable piece of British mid-century design.
Pieces from the Fresco collection were heavily influenced by Scandinavian modernism, combining clean lines with elegant curves and beautiful teak grain.
Today, these drop-leaf console tables are far less commonly seen than the famous Fresco sideboards, making them a particularly desirable find.
