Dyrlund & Smith ‘Lotus / Flip-Flap’ Teak Extending Dining Table — Danish c.1960s

£1995.00

Description

A Danish teak circular extending dining table by Dyrlund & Smith, produced in Denmark in the late 1960s. Commonly referred to as the “Lotus” or “Flip-Flap” table, this elegant design expands from a compact round form via hinged folding panels, revealing a generous dining surface when opened.

Constructed in teak with a beautifully composed radial veneered centre and segmented apron, the table retains its original brass extension hardware and maker’s label beneath. Slim tapering legs and refined proportions place it firmly within Dyrlund’s earlier export period, prior to the heavier production of the 1970s.
