Bodafors Mid-Century Drinks Cabinet by Bertil Fridhagen, c.1955–60

Description

A refined Swedish mid-century drinks cabinet designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Svenska Möbelfabrikerna Bodafors.

The cabinet presents with plain teak slab doors, round timber pulls and tall stilted legs. Inside, it opens to a mirrored bar interior with glass shelves — perfect for displaying glassware and bottles, catching the light beautifully when in use. Two dovetailed birch drawers sit neatly below, providing additional storage for barware or linens.

Quality construction is evident throughout: dovetail-jointed drawers, flush-inset brass hinges with slotted screws, and clean Scandinavian lines typical of Fridhagen’s work for Bodafors in the 1950s.

This piece works equally well as a drinks bar, display cabinet, or simply as an elegant storage unit in a modern interior.
