Arne Hovmand-Olsen for Mogens Kold Danish Teak Nest of Three Tables, Denmark, c.1965
Description
A beautifully designed set of three Danish nesting tables by Arne Hovmand-Olsen, manufactured by Mogens Kold Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1960s.
Crafted in richly grained teak, the tables showcase Hovmand-Olsen's distinctive approach to modern Scandinavian design, combining elegant proportions with softly rounded solid teak frames and finely finished veneered tops. The open-frame construction creates a wonderfully light appearance, while the tables slide neatly together when not in use.
Originally designed as versatile occasional tables for entertaining, they can be used individually throughout a room before nesting together into a compact sculptural form. Their timeless simplicity allows them to sit comfortably within both classic mid-century and contemporary interiors.
Presented in excellent vintage condition with a beautiful, even patina acquired over decades of careful use.
A superb and increasingly scarce example of authentic Danish modern design from one of the movement's most accomplished designers.
