1970s Italian Cocktail Bar with Copper Mirror & Matching Stools

Description

A fabulous Italian cocktail bar dating from the late 1970s/early 1980s, complete with its two original matching pedestal stools.

Finished in warm ivory, the bar features striking fluted columns, brass and chrome detailing and beautiful copper-tinted mirrored surfaces to the top and front. The combination gives the piece a wonderfully glamorous Italian feel typical of the period.

The reverse features open shelving with plenty of practical storage and display space for bottles, glassware and bar accessories.

The two matching stools are particularly striking, repeating the fluted pedestal design of the bar and finished with circular metal footrests and textured cream upholstery. Finding the bar together with both matching stools makes this an especially unusual surviving set.

We've located another example of this distinctive design in Italy, supporting its Italian origin, although the manufacturer remains unidentified. Rather than attaching a speculative designer attribution, we're offering it simply for what it is, an exceptional piece of late 20th-century Italian design.
